I am a qualified relationship and psychosexual therapist, offering counselling to both individuals and couples.

I work from my home, encouraging a relaxed and informal approach where confidentiality and professional standards remain a top priority. I hold a certificate for professional liability insurance.

I have over 20 years experience as a Relate trained counsellor and am a member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapy (COSRT) and work within their ethical framework and guidelines.

I have regular supervision in Derby and attend continual professional development courses throughout the year to maintain my membership of COSRT.

I’ve been asked to speak regularly on Radio Derby and Erewash Sound on a variety issues such as the affects of the COVID pandemic on relationships, differences between open and polyamorous relationships, and topics such as domestic abuse and the affects of alcohol or substance abuse on relationships.

My approach to counselling encompasses cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), psychodynamic and systemic therapies. We may, for example, talk about your background and upbringing and how that has impacted on your formulation of adult relationships, or perhaps how different systems or situations influence how you react to those around you.

You may want to attend counselling with your partner or book individual sessions whether you are in a relationship or not; or perhaps you would just like to make an initial enquiry and have a think about it. That’s fine, and I am very happy to chat to you over the phone or via email about the services I offer without any obligation to commit to attending sessions.
